Exemption from paying for a Professional License

In cases where registered speech-language pathologists will not be working as speech-language pathologists from January 1 to December 31 of the year in question, or have retired and wish to be struck off from the Register, they must send electronically a signed copy of the relevant exemption letter to the Registration Council to inform it of their intention to do so. Upon receipt of the letter and its review by the Registration Council, registered speech-language pathologists requesting an exemption will be exempted from paying the fee for renewal of their annual license to practice for the above period of time. In the latter case, they will be permanently struck off the register.
