Registration procedure
APPLICATION
According to the Registration of Speech-Language Pathologists Law of 2001(L.136(Ι)/2001), as amended by Laws 55(I) of 2004 and 35(I) of 2021 (the Registration of Speech-Language Pathologists (Amendment) Law of 2021), it is mandatory to register with the Cyprus Register of Speech-Language Pathologists and obtain an annual Professional Licence to practice.
The application must be properly completed in order for it to be assessed by the Cyprus Registration Council of Speech-Language Pathologists. The Council’s decision is sent to you in writing within a period not exceeding 3 months from the date of receipt of the duly completed application.
If the application is not duly completed, it will remain pending until all required information have been completed or attached.
No payment need be made at the application review stage.
Upon receipt of the application, an email confirming receipt thereof is sent immediately to the applicant and subsequently, the latter is informed of any missing information/forms regarding the application.
The completed application for registration can be hand-delivered to the office of the Cyprus Registration Council of Speech-Language Pathologists at
30A, Andreas Demetriou Str., 2024 Strovolos, Nicosia
or sent by post, preferably by registered mail, to the following address:

Once the application for registration is approved, the fee of €51.26 must be paid for the issue of the Registration Certificate (pursuant to Article 4(1) of the Registration of Speech-Language Pathologists Regulations of 2005).
The Registration Certificate is the only proof that the practitioner is a speech-language pathologist registered with the Cyprus Registration Council of Speech-Language Pathologists.
The said Certificate is sent by post after payment of €51.26 has been made to the account of the Registration Council of Speech-Language Pathologists.
If you intend to work as a speech-language pathologist in the Republic of Cyprus during the current year, you must obtain an annual professional licence. According to the Registration of Speech-Language Pathologists Law (L.136(I)/2001/Part IV/Article 9(1)), “no registered speech-language pathologist may practice unless he/she has obtained an annual licence from the Registration Council”. The licence will be sent to you electronically after payment of €34.17 has been made to the account of the Registration Council of Speech-Language Pathologists.
